Poster and images preview season 2 of The Purge

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I haven't had a chance to watch the first season of the TV series extension of the PURGE franchise just yet, but the premiere date of the second season is already swiftly approaching. The Purge was USA Network's #1 scripted show in several demographics last year, so it makes sense that they're not wasting any time getting more purging back on the air.

To help promote the new season's October 15th debut, USA has shared a new poster for the show, along with a handful of episode images that are credited to Alfonso Bresciani. The poster and images can be seen below.

Here's what viewers have to look forward to in The Purge season 2:

Based on the hit movie franchise, THE PURGE revolves around a 12-hour period when all crime, including murder, is legal. Season 2 explores how a single Purge night affects the lives of four interconnected characters over the course of the ensuing year, all inevitably leading up to the next Purge. From Blumhouse Television and UCP, the second season of the anthology series opens on Purge night but dives deeper than ever before in to what the Purge world looks like the other 364 days of the year.

Season 2 stars Derek Luke, Max Martini, Paola Nuñez, and Joel Allen.

A co-production between Blumhouse Television and UCP, The Purge is executive produced by the film franchise creator James DeMonaco and his producing partner Sébastien K. Lemercier of Man in a Tree; Platinum Dunes' Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form; Krystal Houghton Ziv, James Roland, Tim Andrew, and Blumhouse founder Jason Blum.

I enjoy the PURGE movies, so I really need to watch the TV show.
