THE GUEST / IT FOLLOWS star Maika Monroe is set to add another genre title to her filmography, signing on to co-star with Chloe Grace Moretz and Isabelle Huppert in THE WIDOW, a thriller from THE COMPANY OF WOLVES / INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE director Neil Jordan.

Scripted by Ray Wright, whose previous credits include CASE 39 and the remakes of PULSE and THE CRAZIES, THE WIDOW centers on a young woman named Frances, who

returns an elderly widow’s lost purse, leading to an unlikely relationship between the two — until the young woman discovers her elder might not be all that she seems and that she’s downright dangerous.

Nice. I'm looking forward to finding out just how dangerous this elderly widow is.

Moretz will be playing Frances. Monroe's character is Erica, "Frances' protective best friend who is living large on her father’s dime and helps her college pal acclimate to the city."

THE WIDOW is being produced by Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, Lawrence Bender, James Flynn, and Karen Richards.
