The main quartet from the first ZOMBIELAND – Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin – are back for more zombie mayhem with ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP. But this time around they will be joined by a few more apocalypse survivors, played by Zoey Deutch, Rosario Dawson, Luke Wilson, Thomas Middleditch and Avan Jogia, and now they all have their own character posters featuring bright colors and splatters of blood. Well, most of them get their own posters. Wilson and Middleditch have to share because, you know, budget stuff.

The posters come after last week’s new featurette, which found the main cast talking about returning to their roles after ten years away, while the new members opened up about what it was like to join the gang.  However, the main gang looks far more prepared for the zombie action than the rest, with the new castmembers not quite looking like they're ready to fight off a horde of brain-munchers.

Sequels to both horror movies and comedies are tricky to nail, considering much of the surprise is gone, which why I still have reservations about DOUBLE TAP. However, I find myself getting increasingly excited about this new outing, and the reason for that is the cast itself, yeah the zombie death is all well and good, but what made the last work was the dynamic and humor between the cast, and that looks to be intact here and with some welcome additions. We have a few weeks left to go before release, so we will see if the ten-year wait was worth it.

ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP is in theaters October 18.
