Josh Brolin Cable Deadpool 2

The search for the perfect person to embody Cable for DEADPOOL 2 was a lengthy one, with actors like Stephen Lang, David Harbour, Brad Pitt, Kyle Chandler, and Michael Shannon popping up in regards to the role, but in the end, it was Josh Brolin who was officially cast as Cable. The actor has been spending the past few months getting his Cable physique into tip-top shape, and the results are pretty damn impressive. With production on the DEADPOOL sequel now officially underway, we'll likely be seeing Josh Brolin decked out in his Cable duds before too long, but the actor took to Instagram to tease us with his transformation into the time-traveling soldier.

It wound up being somewhat of a surprise just how well DEADPOOL was received, so I certainly don't envy director David Leitch. All eyes will be on the upcoming sequel to deliver something spectacular and hilarious, but I've got my fingers crossed that the team will be able to pull it off. My little baby fingers.

DEADPOOL 2 is set for a June 1, 2018 release.
