Adam Scott & Craig Robinson to star in supernatural comedy series Ghosted

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Television comedies are a dime a dozen, though a supernatural comedy featuring Adam Scott (PARKS AND RECREATION, PARTY DOWN, KRAMPUS) and Craig Robinson (THIS IS THE END, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE) sounds to me like a frighteningly good time.

It's being reported today that Fox has ordered GHOSTED, a single-camera series, with Ally Walker and Adeel Akhtar also set to star in a show that chronicles the adventures of a jaded skeptic about the supernatural (Robinson) and a gifted “true believer” (Scott) who are tapped by a covert government agency to investigate an outburst of “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles. What they discover is a bigger-than-imagined mystery that threatens the human race.

Tom Gormican (THAT AWKWARD MOMENT, MOVIE 43) wrote the pilot and will act as executive producer alongside showrunner Kevin Etten (WORKAHOLICS), Jonathan Krisel (Portlandia), Robinson, Scott, and Scott’s wife, Naomi, with whom he created Adult Swim’s The Greatest Event in Television History.

I don't know about you, but I can definitely get on-board with this. Scott is obviously no stranger to the realm of the supernatural, what with having starred in Michael Dougherty's KRAMPUS and the forthcoming comedy horror flick LITTLE EVIL. I'm not entirely certain if Robinson has dealt with ghosts and goblins, though. I'm going through his IMDB page, right now, and the closest thing I can find in regard to otherworldly phenomenon are a few dragons and one over-crowded hot tub time machine. Nevertheless, I'm positive that both Scott and Robinson are more than capable of conjuring up some comedic gold for this upcoming show.
