Interview: Ethan Hawke and director Antoine Fuqua

JoBloJoBlo

I’ve been smitten with Ethan Hawke since the first time I laid eyes on him in DEAD POETS SOCIETY. He’s not only super talented, but he’s got this exceptional grungy sex appeal, which makes him totally irresistible! The Oscar-nominated actor has also starred in some of my favorite films including REALITY BITES, GREAT EXPECTATIONS and TRAINING DAY among many others. Up next, Hawke re-teams with TRAINING DAY’s visionary director Antoine Fuqua, for their forthcoming action-packed cop-drama, BROOKLYN’S FINEST.

Filled with an all-star cast, BROOKLYN’S FINEST is a classic portrayal of police deviance, highlighting the troubled lives of three NYPD cops, which are dramatically altered by a major drug scandal. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Hawke and Fuqua last week, to chat about their thoughts and concerns on reuniting for another cop film, filming in the projects, police corruption, and their upcoming projects. Check out what the passionate (and handsome) duo had to say.
