As the HARRY POTTER franchise winds down, there are several fantasy franchises itching to take up its mantle. The first of these is PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS, a Rick Riordan adapted series in which the titular Percy discovers he’s a descendant of the Greek gods themselves and finds himself intervening in their affairs to prevent a war.
Original POTTER director Chris Columbus is hoping to cast the same spell on the box office with the first in the series, THE LIGHTNING THIEF, as he did with THE SORCERER’S STONE. Will he succeed? Check out the teaser below and debate.
