Gosling, Williams wed

Last year we saw Hollywood heavyweights Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet suffer through a decaying marriage in REVOLUTIONARY ROAD. Now comes BLUE VALENTINE, an independent movie that stars Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams as a marriage couple at odds with one another, who recall better days. It’s a REVOLUTIONARY ROAD for the hipster set. Derek Cianfrance, Cami Delavigne and Joey Curtis penned the script with Cianfrance also directing. I really appreciate the fact that although Gosling’s star is burning as bright as ever, he still manages to avoid the Hollywood schlock that has contaminated the careers of so many of his colleagues, and instead chooses to do artful work that has the potential to challenge. Way to go, dude.
