It has been a while since I wrote a “remake” story so I thought I’d throw one out there now (okay, it’s only been a week, but I just love them so damn much!). The newest film that’s getting the remake treatment surprisingly isn’t an 80’s slasher film but rather the black and white classic, CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON.
The script that was written by Gary Ross follows a scientific expedition traveling up the Amazon River that encounters a dangerous humanoid amphibious fish creature. The worst part yet, the creature may be made of rubber!
As of right now Universal is set to distribute the film with Striking Entertainment doing the producing. Keep checking back here for updates on casting, but here is my choice for the part calling for endless shots of a wet body swimming through the lake:
