The infectious franchise that is 28 DAYS LATER may have hit that point that every franchise gets to, where another installment may be harder to achieve than expected. But original director Danny Boyle seems to know where the story will go.

“Oh, we’ve definitely got an idea of where it’ll turn next but who knows if it’ll ever happen,” Boyle told Shocktillyoudrop. And in a way of dropping a subtle hint that the problem maybe the result of the studio’s control, Boyle said this about the possibility of doing the film without Fox Atomic’s involvement: “That’s complicated because the series is big in the U.S. so I don’t think we ever could. But let’s see, we definitely got an idea of the next one.”
