Revisit Prom Night

Remember PROM NIGHT? No, not your own (I didn’t have one, but that didn’t stop me from getting wasted), I’m talking about the 1980 slasher flick starring Jame Lee Curtis (post HALLOWEEN, but pre-board game sellout). Apparently, Sony Screen Gems are in the market (you know what’s coming) for a trip down memory lane (aka a REMAKE), courtesy of a script by Stephen Susco (THE GRUDGE) and Ernesto Foronda.

The remake is tentatively set for a February 1st, 2008 release date, and already you can tell that Sony has high hopes for the film with that date. Nothing like shelling out garbage when other studios are doing the same, eh? No word yet on casting or who’s directing (obviously), but it’s just another something to keep in mind for two years down the road.
