Dust off your pink bowties and bad attitudes because the fan-favorite series Party Down is set for a revival! The short-lived Starz series lasted two seasons with a cast that included Ken Marino, Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, Lizzy Caplan, and Megan Mullally. The characters all worked as part of catering staff for the titular company who were all aspiring performers or making ends meet. The series ended when many of the cast, including Jane Lynch and Adam Scott, found high profile roles on Glee and Parks and Recreation respectively.

After a reunion retrospective was held in 2019, Party Down creators and producers including Rob Thomas, John Enbom, Paul Rudd, and Dan Etheridge got to work developing the revival. There is no confirmation if any of the original cast will return for the new version of Party Down but one can hope.

While it has been 10 years since Party Down left the airwaves, all of the cast have had successful careers on the big screen and small. Getting them back together is far from impossible but it is further complicated by COVID-19 and higher salaries many will expect including Lizzy Caplan, Scott, and Lynch.

Hell yes! I am down for a revival of Party Down. In my opinion, it's something of an underrated gem that I feel would be embraced by contemporary audiences. While it could work with new cast members, I think that some, if not all the players, would need to make a return. I won't hold my breath for something like that to happen, but I'll still keep my fingers crossed.
