Chris Pratt teases that he and Marvel have plans to bring back Star-Lord

Chris Pratt and Marvel

After Chris Pratt‘s comedic run on his popular NBC show Parks & Recreation, he would breakout into a film career with a new body as the Marvel superhero Star-Lord in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The Guardians would see their films become huge hits for the studio and they would become integral in the culmination of the Infinity Saga — Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. As Gunn finished his own Guardians trilogy, we saw Peter Quill finally return to Earth and reunite with his grandfather, while the final title card declared “The legendary Star-Lord will return.”

Where is Star-Lord?

We have a new Avengers upon us in a few months and while Pratt isn’t officially announced to make an appearance, there are plenty of opportunities for surprises. However, Pratt himself has teased that he and Marvel have taken the steps to bring Quill back into the fray. According to The Playlist, while promoting the second season of his show The Terminal List, Pratt would tease,

I have a great relationship with Kevin [Feige] and Lou [D’Esposito], and there have been both ongoing conversations about how we make good on that promise and also hard action taken to make sure that we make good on that promise. So yeah, you’ll see Star-Lord again, which is very exciting, but I’m not at liberty to say when that’s going to be, but he’s not going anywhere.”

If he doesn’t show up in either of the Avengers films, would he possibly get his own show or movie? Time will tell.

What did we think of The Terminal List season 2?

Pratt is also returning a James Reece in the second season of The Terminal List. Our Alex Maidy got to preview the new season and gave it a 7/10 review, where he said, “An improvement over the first season, The Terminal List remains a very specific type of series for a very specific audience. It fits into the same types of shows that Prime Video is becoming synonymous with, including Jack Ryan, Reacher, and Bosch. I do see a substantial improvement between the first season and this one, namely in the intensity and complexity of the story, which owes credit to Jack Carr’s source material. I especially enjoyed the performances from Olga Kurylenko and Constance Wu in a series that is heavily male-dominated in its cast. I haven’t read any of the novels, so I can’t speak to how closely the overall series connects to the book, but a cursory glance shows that the major story milestones are all included, beat for beat. This series definitely works as a binge, as the momentum propels you from one chapter to the next. Ultimately, I would like a little bit more balance between James Reece’s medical diagnosis and his future actions, but that could always be something addressed in future seasons. As it is, The Terminal List season two is better than the first, and fans of the first season will be very happy with where this story ends up.”
