Demons are some of the hardest working supernatural creatures in the horror genre; you never go very long without hearing that another demonic possession movie is coming down the line. One of the next demonic possession movies to see release is the fittingly titled A DEMON WITHIN, from directors Justin LaReau and Ayush Yoda Banker.

Written by LaReau, Banker, Michelle Beyda-Scott, and Helene Gonze, A DEMON WITHIN tells the following story:

In 1914, Crestwick, a demonic spirit named Nefas surfaced to prey on a family, ending with the death of an innocent young girl. The mysterious events haunted the mid-western community for years. Now, decades later, a skeptical doctor must stop history from repeating itself by confronting his personal demons and fighting to save the life of a teenage girl who has become possessed in his family’s old house.

The film stars Charlene Amoia, Clinton Hummel, Patricia Ashley, Michael Ehlers, Cole Millette, Veronika Bonell, David Sweetman, and Laura Ann Parry.

A DEMON WITHIN will be receiving a theatrical and VOD release on January 12, 2018 courtesty of Blue Fox Entertainment, and in anticipation of this release a trailer for the film has arrived online, along with the poster art. Both can be seen below.

The story is pretty standard stuff, but there are some cool horror visuals on display in A DEMON WITHIN’s trailer.
