Arnold Schwarzenegger has been busy this week. Just yesterday the former Governator revealed that his character in the new TERMINATOR flick will still be a cyborg and today we have news involving Schwarzenegger and another franchise. According to an exclusive from The Arnold Fans, Schwarzenegger will appear in THE EXPENDABLES 3 and it will start filming in August in Los Angeles.
This could explain why the release date for ESCAPE PLAN was pushed back from September to October. With the extra month, Schwarzenegger will be able to film a little bit longer on THE EXPENDABLES 3 before he has to start making the rounds promoting ESCAPE PLAN.
It doesn't come as a surprise that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be in the new film considering he was in the first two, even though he didn't have significant screen time in those movies. Schwarzenegger has made it clear that he is ready and fully willing to jump back into the action genre so I wonder if his part will be bigger this time around. Maybe a double cross that pits him against Sylvester Stallone?
THE EXPENDABLES 3 will be in theaters August 15th, 2014 while ESCPAE PLAN is out on October 18th, 2013.
