Booster Gold may be one of the three heroes joining the Arrow/Flash spin-off

When the announced spin-off of ARROW and THE FLASH was announced, we were told the team would consist of Brandon Routh as A.T.O.M., Caty Loitz as (potentially) Black Canary, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, and at least Victor Garber as Firestorm (there was no word on Robbie Amell's involvement). Now, a new casting call for three code-named characters may reveal the rest of the team.

Here are the three characters according to TV Line.

“THE TRAVELER” | Described as a “Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm, this hero hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both his teammates and the audience unsure of his true allegiances.

“FEMALE WARRIOR” | This twentysomething Latina is pretty but unassuming, book smart and socially awkward by day. But by night, when she hears the cry of battle, her fury is ignited and she becomes a fierce warrior — so much so, that sometimes she can become a threat to others.

“MYSTERY HERO” |  An African-American male in his twenties will fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.

While these characters are vague enough that they could be anyone, TV Line theorizes that "The Traveler" could be Booster Gold or Rip Hunter.  Booster Gold has long been a DC character with big screen aspirations but has yet to be truly realized outside of SMALLVILLE.  ARROW and THE FLASH creator Greg Berlanti had been developing a Booster Gold series for SyFy that never happened, so maybe this is his second chance to make it happen.

The other characters are potentially Fury, Wildcat, Pantha, for the female role and Static or Black Lightning for the Mystery Hero character.  Whichever these characters ends up being, This could be the biggest superhero project ever on the small screen.

There is no word on whether the new spin-off will be teased on an upcoming episode of ARROW or THE FLASH but expect to hear soon as both series have less than ten episodes to go before their respective season finales.
