Why yes it IS a very slow news day, thanks for asking, but it lieu of any new DARK KNIGHT RISES news for you to salivate over, I figured I’d at least stick with the Batman theme. If you’re the world’s biggest , and moreover richest Batman fan, you can own the world’s only turbine powered Batmobile for the low, low price of $620,000.

The car is for sale on eBay, and yes, it’s real. Well, it’s a replica, but probably actually MORE functional than the car Michael Keaton drove in the original film. Some of its vital stats:

“Putsch says the car, built this year, features 365-horsepower Boeing turboshaft engine and a centrally mounted touch-screen iPad with 3G and is able to run on jet, kerosene or diesel fuel. Putsch adds that the car was built in a professional racing facility alongside Grand Prix, DTM, Indy and Sports Racing cars.”

An iPad! For $620,000 I would expect every surface on the inside of the car to be paved in iPads. What sort of apps do you think Batman would need? Is there one that makes your iPad shoot out knockout gas when someone tries to play Angry Birds?

Anyway, bid on eBay if you want, and see the car in action below:
