Check out an average day for a Power Ranger in this funny short

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Much like Rita Repulsa's return to Earth, a new short film by Jay Diaz starring LA native Noah Baron has emerged on YouTube which casts the actor/producer as the Green Ranger of Power Rangers fame. As the story plays out, Noah posits a question for the ages: What becomes of a Power Ranger once they are no longer needed to save the world? The answer? Not much … or so that's what the Green Ranger believed until learning how to become more like Stella and get his groove back.

As we get up close and personal with the Power Ranger whose days of fighting intergalactic villains, grotesque kaiju, and endless armies of Puttys are long since behind him, we're forced to contemplate life after defending Angel Grove, the fictitious Californian town that played host to plenty of Power Rangers action during the Zordon Era. Before long, the Green Ranger's trip down memory lane takes a dark turn, as being a teenage superhero certainly takes its toll, and sometimes friendships between teammates can become strained when saving the world is a part of your everyday hangout sesh.

There are plenty of chuckle-worthy moments throughout the short, such as witnessing the Green Ranger's fitness routine, watching the emerald-colored hero take a side job as a driver for Lyft as well as the martial arts master's evenings spent with his acting troupe. It's a hard knock life for a Ranger after Rita has gone to ground and newer, fancier heroes have hogged the spotlight. I have a feeling our green buddy will be alright … that is until the Pink Ranger hits him up on his cell, eliciting a torrent of emotions that are bound to send him spiraling.
