Check out the prologue to Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Fox has dropped a full prologue to Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS sequel/ALIEN prequel, ALIEN: COVENANT and it's got more than a few shades of familiarity to both of those films. Starring Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride, and James Franco (who we get our first real glimpse of his "Captain" character here), Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, and Noomi Rapace. The extended clip teases everything from giant bugs to a sudden "scare" while enjoying a jovial moment (that "down the wrong pipe" line is more than a little ironic) and a closer look at the Covenant of the film, which is closely tied to the characters being couples, seeking a new world to populate. It's a fun, if not somewhat shameless tease, which adds another log to the fire of anticipation for this one.

"Wrong pipe."

Here's the synopsis:

The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

ALIEN: COVENANT lands at theaters on May 19th.
