While Jared Leto's Joker has yet to be confirmed as a cast member of James Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD, it's being reported that another comedian is looking to join the fray.

It's been confirmed by Deadline that actor, DJ and comedian Flula Borg has joined the cast of THE SUICIDE SQUAD. Details surrounding Borg's character are scarce at this time, though it's to be believed that the Erlangen, West Germany-born entertainer will play a love interest of one of the characters featured in the upcoming film.

So far, a number of actors from director David Ayer's 2016 SUICIDE SQUAD have confirmed their return for Gunn's version, such as Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag). Newcomers to the "worst of the worst" franchise are Idris ElbaDavid Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), and Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher).

In addition to helming the feature, Gunn will also pen the script which Chuck Roven and Peter Safran will produce. Meanwhile, Nik Korda is executive producing.

Known to his friends as a man of many talents, Borg has appeared in a number of features and television series, including PITCH PERFECT 2, RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET, WORKAHOLICS, and SILICON VALLEY, just to name a few. Up next for Borg is his role as Serge for director William Tetler's JUDY SMALL. The 2019 comedy stars Haley Joel Osment (THE SIXTH SENSE, THE BOYS), Sarah Shahi (OLD SCHOOL), Alicia Silverstone (CLUELESS, BLAST FROM THE PAST) and Aisha Tyler (ARCHER) tells the story of a couple seeking Judy Small, a marriage counselor, but also someone who has more going on than meets the eye.

THE SUICIDE SQUAD is looking to cause a raucous in theaters on August 6, 2021.
