Darth Vader vs Emperor Palpatine: Face-Off

Chris

They are the two biggest threats to the Star Wars galaxy. First up, the Jedi Knight formerly known as Anakin Skywalker — Darth Vader. When the Galactic Empire took hold, many began to quiver at his very name. He brought an iron fist down on those that refused to align themselves with the Empire and earned a dangerous reputation because of it. If you were unlucky enough to be an Admiral aboard his ship, you could easily find yourself choked out of a job… and your life.

In the other corner, there’s the shadowy figure behind the entire Empire. Emperor Palpatine was able to leverage the Republic into giving him complete control over the Galactic Senate to fight the Empire. They had no idea at the time that he was in charge of both. He was able to grasp ultimate power and wouldn’t let go of it, even after death. He could persuade those with a dark heart to join his side with only a few words. The entire universe feared him as he could send a massive army or blast from the Death Star to wipe them out with a single command.

Even though they had a mild skirmish in Return Of The Jedi, we never got to see what would happen if Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine were to square off one-on-one. Let’s fix that problem right now here on… FACE OFF!

This episode of Face Off is written by Bryan Wolford, narrated by Shawn Knippelberg, and edited by Ric Solomon. But don’t let us have the final word — tell us in the comments which Star Wars Sith Lord is your favorite — Darth Vader or Emperor Palpatine?
