Detention of the Dead set to release this June

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard any news regarding Alex Mann’s DETENTION OF THE DEAD, the indie zom-com that has been described as THE BREAKFAST CLUB meets SHAUN OF THE DEAD. In fact, our last word on the flick came almost a year ago when we shared the teaser trailer for this slick looking production. Now we finally have word as to when you will be able to check it out, as DETENTION OF THE DEAD is scheduled to hit select theaters June 28, 2013.

Comedy and Horror unite in this ‘The Breakfast Club’ meets ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ tale about a group of oddball high school students who find themselves trapped in detention with their classmates having turned into a horde of zombies. Can they put their differences aside and work together to survive the night? Fat chance! This is High School after all.”

Written and directed by Alex Craig Mann, DETENTION OF THE DEAD stars Jacob Zachar, Alexa Nikolas, Christa B. Allen, Jayson Blair, Justin Chon, Max Adler and Joseph Porter.
