SIX FEET UNDER fans should be psyched to hear that Michael C. Hall will return to a subscription series, although this time it’ll be with Showtime instead of HBO. The project is called DEXTER and it’s about Dexter Morgan (Hall), an incredibly likeable forensics expert for the Miami Metro Police Department, who moonlights as a serial killer with a penchant for inflicting his own unusual brand of justice – he kills people who truly deserve it.
Gotta love that kind of moral ambiguity! Now the project has been floating in the eves for awhile, but it won’t actually premiere until October 1st. You can check out the Showtime site for the show, and thanks to the sharp eyes of one of our loyal readers, click here to catch a review of the pilot.
Between this and MASTERS OF HORROR I’m growing a newfound respect for the Showtime folks. They may not always get the genre stuff right, but damned if they aren’t trying!
