The terrifying new film from producer Adam Sandler… wait, what? What the hell is going on around here? Sandler is now the new producer of… horror films? You got that shit right, and not just horror films, but generic 90s-style slasher flicks, hence the floating-head style cover. That said, with the image below the ‘star’ studded cast, I can gather exactly what this flick is about. These kids take a shortcut through the scariest place on earth only to find out that the people who live there are into slaughtering trespassers. Sweet. Oh, and Christian Slater’s in it. But why isn’t he on the cover???

PHANTASM II – September 15th
The Ball is Back, Bitch! That would be a way cooler way to end the tagline. Ah, PHANTASM II… surprisingly enough, this is one of the only available copies of the sequel on DVD. As in, this isn’t the 8th release of PHANTASM II, but dare I say… the first? At least for Region 1? If not the first, then surely the second. The cover is pretty generic, but I get the picture. Dude is back with his giant silver killer ball. Everybody run!!!

HARPER’S ISLAND – September 8th
I liked to talk all kinds of shit about HARPER’S ISLAND because I caught the first episode of the CBS show and it was f*cking weaksauce. But I’m hearing more and more reports that say the show found its groove and ended up being a decent little slasher-style mini-series with a relatively high body count. And here I thought it was just a stupid Soap Opera pretending to be horror. Maybe it’ll be easier to take in on DVD.

HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER (Blu-ray) – September 29th – Because Michael Rooker will make you believe that he’s actually the killer in this movie, making him one of the scariest actors alive.
SICK GIRL – August 25th – Because this is one sick chick you really don’t wanna f*ck with.
