Efron’s Foot is Loose

Well, if it wasn’t official before, it certianly is now. Zac Efron is a goddamn movie star. With HSM3 conquering the weekend’s box office, studio execs have their first real evidence of the magnitude of Efron’s appeal. Not only have they hired efron to play the lead in their FOOTLOOSE remake, but they’ve also decided to the square-jawed teenage 7 figures, as well as give him script approval. And to make sure that they capitalize on Efron-mania, the film is being fast-tracked. I say what’s the rush? Tween girls ain’t going anywhere.

HSM3 director Kenny Ortega will direct the updated version, which apparently will feature new songs, to compliment the old ones that made Kevin Bacon a star back in 1984. Looks like Zac Efron has it pretty much made in the shade. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go check out a few pics of his naked girlfriend.
