Exclusive: We talk to RKSS about Summer of 84, Turbo Kid 2 and more!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

While at Comic-Con I had the opportunity to sit down and talk to RKSS (Roadkill Superstars), the filmmakers behind the legendary cult hit TURBO KID and the Amblin-inspired SUMMER OF 84, which releases today. The Canadian filmmaking trio (François Simard, Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell) share their inspiration for making SUMMER OF 84 and discuss what it's like working with younger actors, as well as give an update on TURBO KID 2, which they're currently in the process of writing with an eye to direct and spill the beans on what types of projects they'd like to work on in the future (including an adaptation of DEAD SPACE). It's a really insightful and fun conversation to a great group of filmmakers who we expect to see more and more cool projects from in the years to come.

SUMMER OF 84 is in theaters now.
