Felicity, My So-Called Life, Hulu

Time to get all in your '90s feels. Hulu is welcoming some signature young adult shows from the era to their platform and you might want to prepare for your nostalgic binge.

Hulu announced that Felicity and My So-Called Life will be joining the streamer on March 9 and March 11, respectively. The debuts are being touted as a "90s Week" celebration that will welcome the arrival of the Mayim Bialik sitcom, Blossom, on March 8. The shows are joining the platform to lead-up to the debut of the documentary Kid90, featuring Punky Brewster star Soleil Moon Frye and detailing her life growing up as a star in the 1990s. Kid90 is set to premiere on Hulu on March 12, 2021.

Felicity was a popular drama that aired on The WB from 1998-2002. The series was created by J.J. Abrams, before he got all Alias, Star Trek, and Star Wars on us, and followed Felicity Porter (Keri Russell), as she attends the "University of New York" (based on New York University). Felicity leaves her home in Palo, Alto California, and attends the university to follow a boy that she has a crush on. Despite its flimsy premise, the show offered up some compelling situations and supporting characters that realistically captured the college experience. Keri Russell won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama series after the series' first season and in the years since ending its run, "Time Magazine" named it on their "All-Time 100 Best TV Shows. The show also starred Scott Speedman, Amy Jo Johnson, Scott Foley, Tangi Miller, Greg Grunberg, Amanda Foreman, and Ian Gomez.

My So-Called Life was a tragically short-lived show that aired for only one season on ABC from 1994-1995. The series followed the emotional travails of several teenagers in the social circle of main character Angela Chase (Claire Danes). Much like Russell on Felicity, Danes won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in Drama series during her run on the show and it ultimately led to her becoming a notable actress. The series was also the big start for Jared Leto, who played the rebellious Jordan Catalano. Despite its short run, My So-Called Life became pretty notable in pop culture because of its realistic portrayal of adolescence during that time period. The series also starred Bess Armstrong, Wilson Cruz, Devon Gummersall, and A.J. Langer.
