Festival one-sheet for found footage horror flick Raw Cut

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Set for its premiere at the La Femme Film Festival in Los Angeles this Friday, October 18th is the upcoming found-footage horror flick RAW CUT from director Laura Zoe Quist. Daniel Ponickly, Chistopher Kelly, C. Ashleigh Caldwell and Zoe Quist all star. The poster isn't great but it's not terrible either. It's just sort of… there. I really dig the title font though, it's pretty cool and we also get to see some screams of terror, so that's always nice. Check it below!

Man, it's getting difficult keeping track of all these found-footage flicks lately! The thing is, it really can work when it's done right, and this one sounds like it's taking a pretty interesting approach to the genre. And who knows, maybe RAW CUT can find a way to set itself apart from rest.

Here's a hefty synopsis:

When Adam Cohen invites his best college friends, Jack and Amanda, to his new Wyoming home for a week’s getaway to meet his new fiancee, Stephanie, the two couples get much more than the peace and solitude they were hoping for. Stephanie asks for help with her thesis film, a ‘found footage’ piece. The friends are going to play-act a traditional horror story: Two ingenues are stalked and murdered by two crazed hillbillies. But who is stalking whom? How far are we willing to go for our art? How much will people take before they burst? Raw Cut explores the meta world between found footage and reality. What starts as a traditional horror film turns into something far darker, more suspenseful. How well do any of the friends really know each other? And who will survive the cut?
