Get to know the first Doctor in the biopic Adventures in Space and Time

JoBloJoBlo

Want to know how DOCTOR WHO started? Not familiar with the first Doctor? Then you might be interested in AN ADVENTURE IN SPACE AND TIME, a BBC biopic that tells the story of the beginnings of DOCTOR WHO. David Bradley who we best know as Argus Filch from the HARRY POTTER series plays the first Doctor William Hartnell, and he is perfect! I really thought I was looking at Hartnell for a moment! It’s uncanny! I’m excited. Check out the trailer below.

“We want to do a Science Fiction series…”

Synopsis:

This special one-off drama travels back in time to 1963 to see how Doctor Who was first brought to the screen.

Actor William Hartnell felt trapped by a succession of hard-man roles. Wannabe producer Verity Lambert was frustrated by the TV industry’s glass ceiling. Both of them were to find unlikely hope and unexpected challenges in the form of a Saturday tea-time drama. Allied with a team of unusual but brilliant people, they went on to create the longest running science fiction series ever made.

BBC America will air the biopic on November 22nd with THE DAY OF THE DOCTOR following the next day. I can’t wait!
