GoW script!

While I haven’t played

GEARS OF WAR
all the way through yet, I was really diggin’ the game.
And while I thought that the story may have been a little bit too thin to bring
to the big screen, I must admit that the treatment of the

GEARS OF WAR
script that’s now online does sound a might intriguing.

The folks over at

Latino Review
have managed to get a copy of the 22 page treatment
that writer Stuart Beattie is planning on working into a full script. While only
discussing the first part of the film (BEWARE OF SPOILERS) it does seem like
this might actually be an intriguing watch if done right. (Which probably won’t
happen, but what can you do?)

GEARS OF WAR is
about a terra-formed planet which houses an alien species below the surface
known as the Locust. These aliens rise up and attempt a take-over while soldier
and prisoner Marcus Fenix attempts to defeat them.

There is still yet to be a good video game flick,
so maybe GoW will help turn that around. Of course chances are that some
WWE wrestler will step into the main role and turn this whole thing into a
horrid debacle for us all!
