Halloween trilogy?

Sometimes it blows me away how far in advance sequels these days
are planned. I mean Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN doesn’t even hit theatre’s until
August 31st; yet talks of a possible trilogy are already in the making!

The peeps over at

have spoken with Malcolm McDowell, who plays Dr. Loomis
in Zombie’s interpretation of HALLOWEEN. McDowell said about the series :
“I’ve
signed for three,” said Malcolm McDowell, who is playing Dr. Loomis. “How about that? They obviously
think it’s going to be a big hit.”

That’s pretty interesting that talks
of a trilogy are already under way. I also find it interesting that the studio
is not yet decided on whether or not the film will rock or flop. I guess when
you have upsets like the one that occurred with

GRINDHOUSE
there’s no telling what will happen. I still think it
bodes well that the film may succeed though, and may Zombie’s re-envisioning
will end up being pretty cool. I guess we’ll all just have to reserve judgment
for the 31st of August when Zombie’s HALLOWEEN is unleashed on the world.
