Harrison Ford & Alden Ehrenreich have a one-on-one Solo lunch in Twitter pic

So it begins. Some people may not like it, but it’s happening. The torch is being passed from one Solo to another, and next year we will be seeing someone else take on the role of the most beloved smuggler in the galaxy. For some it will be hard to accept, but this new photo that's taking Twitter by storm will prove the transition is already underway.

Twitter user Nico Sotomayor posted a photo of what appears to be the two actors (Harrison Ford and Alden Ehrenreich) having a lovely sit-down, prompting many people to ask the question, “Who shot first?”:

The photo is a bit blurry, but my guess is if anyone were to see something like that you’d wanna be as discreet as humanly possible so as it not have a total nerdgasm. Fans will notice that it certainly is Ford on the left, and in his hand looks like a pen and the check, prompting many "Han Pays First" responses because we told ourselves we have to make 2017 better than 2016. Much like the Superman/Black Adam pic from last week, there isn’t a whole lot of news in the photo but it’s still a little reminder that this is actually happening, for better or worse.

We’ve done a lot of stories on the HAN SOLO movie in the last week, from casting news to date shift rumors, but I wouldn’t blame someone for thinking this is the crème de la crème of SOLO-related news. It's so strange so see such a legacy in the annals of movie fandom meeting with the future of the franchise. I mean, it's almost like if instead of all the events in LOOPER taking place Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis just sat down and had a scone.

The HAN SOLO movie is set for May 25, 2018.
