Anne Hathaway would not mind a Catwoman spin-off

How would you feel about a new Catwoman movie? No, dammit, not the sequel to the Halle Berry movie that you've been secretly praying for, we're talking a flick centered around Anne Hathaway's incarnation of Selina Kyle. I don't know about you, but I found the character to be a real breath of fresh air in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, bringing some nice energy - not to mention much-needed sex appeal - to the otherwise gloomy and dire proceedings. But could she sustain an entire movie by herself?

According to Ms. Hathaway herself, the answer is "sure, why not?"

The actress told Digital Spy: "I think it would be lovely to see more of her but only if it's with the right people. She lives in this Gotham City and so it would have to be established by the people who have made this Gotham City. For me, at least."

Makes sense, although it's fairly unlikely at this point that the character is being prepped for her own picture by the studio. We all know that Christopher Nolan has claimed he's done with Batman, and as Warner Bros. won't be rebooting it anytime soon (as inevitable as it is), they might be keen to keep the Nolan-ized Gotham universe going just a bit longer... and a Catwoman movie would be the way to go about it.

What say you? Can you picture that kitty rubbing against your leg?

Extra Tidbit: I really dug the fact that they never used the name "Catwoman" in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.
