Anthony Mackie says Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter unlike anything we've seen!

Well folks the goods from Timur Bekmambetov's ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER have been coming our way fast and furious, and thankfully it doesn't look to be slowing anytime soon! While today's update isn't a new still or poster, it is a bit of info you might want to check out...

You see Anthony Mackie, who stars in the film as 'William,' recently chatted with ScreenRant and dropped a few interesting quotes that should turn some heads. Firstly there's this one:

“We did a ton of training. I can honestly say that Timur is amazing because he shot this film like it was a real like biography of Abraham Lincoln, but the action sequences are unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. He realized that this fabricated story is so far out there that he had to go all the way out to make it work. So he just went as far as he could with the CGI and that trademark Timur cranking of shots and the storytelling.”

"Unlike anything you've ever seen before..." Let's hope so! Mackie also talks about the mixture between history and filmmaking and how ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER will be THE MATRIX of the next generation. To peep everything Mackie had to say just head right over HERE.

When Abraham Lincoln was nine years old, his mother died from an ailment called the "milk sickness." Only later did he learn that his mother's deadly affliction was actually the work of a local vampire, seeking to collect a debt owed by Lincoln's father. When Abe learned the truth, he vowed revenge and kept one passion hidden throughout his life: the brutal elimination of all vampires. His valiant, bloody fight against the undead was all but lost to history, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon the secret journal of Abraham Lincoln.

Using the journal as his guide, Seth reconstructs Lincoln's life story and uncovers the role vampires played in the birth, growth, and near-death of our nation. You don't know Abe. Honest.

ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER slashes it's way into theaters on June 22nd with a cast that includes Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Mary Elizabeth Winstead (below), Robin McLeavy, Rufus Sewell, Martin Csokas, Jimmi Simpson, Alan Tudyk and Benjamin Walker as the titular 16th President.

Extra Tidbit: Anthony Mackie's most notable credit is the Academy Award winning THE HURT LOCKER.
