Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch join The Autopsy Of Jane Doe

TROLLHUNTER director André Øvredal will make his English-language debut with the supernatural thriller THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE, which will see Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox co-star, reports Deadline. “Brian and Emile are remarkably dynamic actors and will make a formidable pair. I feel so fortunate to be bringing this story to life with such brilliant performers,” says Øvredal. It's no doubt a solid pairing, but I'm more excited to see Øvredal's return behind the camera because he has an incredible vision, on that will hopefully shine under THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE.

Cox and Hirsch will play father and son coroners who receive a mysterious homicide victim with no apparent cause of death. As they attempt to identify the beautiful young “Jane Doe,” they discover increasingly bizarre clues that hold the key to her terrifying secrets.

The film is produced by Fred Berger (Taking Chance) and Eric Garcia (Matchstick Men) under their Impostor Pictures banner alongside Rory Aitken and Ben Pugh of 42 (Welcome to the Punch, Monsters: Dark Continent). Goldcrest’s Nick Quested and Pascal Degove are serving as executive producers.
