Check out a teaser for Syfy’s Rise of the Zombies, starring Danny Trejo, plus two new pics!

Apparently finding success with last year’s ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE (remember that one?), Syfy is once again thrilling us with an original undead movie produced by the great ones over at The Asylum: RISE OF THE ZOMBIES. Flick sees the survivors of a plague clash with zombies inside of a prison. Relation to any current programs with similar plots is purely coincidental, I’m sure. (The flick’s original title? DEAD WALKING.)

Check out a promo for the film below. Actually, it must admit it looks rather watchable. (Then again, it has The Trejo in it, which always helps.) In addition, we’ve got two brand new pics from the film to share with you. Like the hammer action!

The plot: When the undead overrun San Francisco, a desperate group of survivors takes refuge inside Alcatraz Prison but soon find themselves on the run when zombies attack the island. Their only hope is to find the renegade scientist who is working on a cure for the zombie virus.

RISE OF THE ZOMBIES stars Mariel Hemingway, LeVar Burton, Danny Trejo, French Stewart, Heather Hemmens and Ethan Supplee. It airs on Syfy tomorrow, Saturday, October 27th.
