Over the past few years we’ve heard about several projects in the works based on the classic tale of DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE. The only problem is none of those projects seemed to have made it to the big time. Where the eff are they?! Unfortunately I don’t have the answer to that question. What I do have though is a brand new JEKYLL AND HYDE flick coming our way!
The guys over at Bloody-Disgusting got word on a new horror heading our way from director Arno Malarone. Titled THE AWAKENED, the flick is described as a modern day re-telling of JEKYLL AND HYDE. Peep the very basic rundown:
The horror pic follows a young woman who returns to her home town after 14 years to find her mother’s killer.
But that’s not even the kicker for this one. It seems a cast has already formed for THE AWAKENED including Edward Furlong, Christian Slater, Julianne Michelle (below), Steve Bauer and Corey Sevier. Furlong (above left) and Slater (above right)? Nice! Works for me!
Shooting on THE AWAKENED is set to begin September 10th in The Hamptons, New York so expect more from this one to roll our way in the coming months.
