Mickey Rourke and Rosario Dawson to reprise their roles in Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For

No more than a week ago, we brought you the gleeful news that Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez have moved into production on SIN CITY 2: A DAME TO KILL FOR, the follow-up to their 2005 SIN CITY film adaptation of Miller’s comic book. Now, with the flick’s first cast announcements, we welcome some very familiar faces. Speaking to MTV in a recent interview, Rodriguez confirmed that both Mickey Rourke and Rosario Dawson (pictured below) are indeed very eager to return.

Here’s the scoop, in the director’s own words:

“[Rourke is] all excited to come back, but he’s probably the first one. I saw Rosario [Dawson] too. I ran into her for something else, and she’s pumped. They’ve always been excited about doing another one, so that will be fun.”

I guess we can all breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that badass Marv and hottie Gail are back on board. Of course, one big question is whether Clive Owen will be reprising his role as Dwight, which isn’t all that certain given that A DAME TO KILL FOR takes place before the events of the original and the character starts out… well, to avoid unnecessary spoilers, let’s just say, ‘somewhat different’. Oh well, I’m sure Miller and Rodriguez won’t keep us waiting too long for further announcements.
