New international trailer for Snowpiercer puts focus on action, destiny

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Bong Joon-ho's post-apocalyptic thriller SNOWPIERCER is getting set to open in South Korea next week (and hopefully coming to North American theaters soon thereafter) and a 'final' international trailer has just been released, following the epic-looking trailer we shared with you earlier this month. This latest look at the film puts the focus on Chris Evans' character Curtis as he faces down his destiny and features a little more violent action than we've previously seen.

Based on the French graphic novel "Le Transperceneige," SNOWPIERCER is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.

We are still unsure when SNOWPIERCER will be released stateside, but supposedly the film will debut later this year.

SNOWPIERCER stars Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Ewen Brewmner, Alison Pill, John Hurt and Ed Harris.
