New Oldboy poster: Josh Brolin is no longer boxed in

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Here’s a new poster for Spike Lee’s OLDBOY, featuring a trunk-escaping Josh Brolin and a mysterious figure in the background. (Carrying, you’ll notice, an umbrella with scratch marks in it.) It’s a fairly unusual one-sheet, and ComingSoon.net says it’s actually a reference to a moment in the trailer, which apparently debuts on Wednesday, red-band style. You’ll certainly want to keep your eyes peeled for that.

Really dig the tagline, too. It’s as fitting as any they could have chosen.

OLDBOY is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.

Starring Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley and Samuel L. Jackson, OLDBOY goes like this:

OLDBOY opens on October 25th.
