Deadline has it that Mandalay Vision and Vertigo Ent. have decided to produce THE VOICES, with PERSEPOLIS director Marjane Satrapi (shown) on board to helm the psychological thriller. She’ll do so from a Black Listed script by PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 and 3 scribe Michael R. Perry. Mandalay Vision will finance.
Here’s the skinny:
Jerry Hickfang is a lovable but strange bathtub factory worker who yearns for the attention of a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden murderous turn, Jerry’s evil talking cat and benevolent talking dog lead him down a fantastical path that ultimately brings him to salvation.
