The Eli Roth-produced Clown gets some creepy new imagery

Clown Eli Roth

It amazes me that there aren’t more movies (good ones, anyway) centered around grown ass men wearing rainbow-colored pants. Clowns are naturally freaky as shit, I don’t care what anyone says. These guys shit cotton candy and have painted on smiles; what isn’t terrifying about that? It looks like the Eli Roth-produced CLOWN may have tapped into their full potential, just take a look at these stills as proof. How would you like that f*cking thing creeping up on you while you’re playing video games? Yikes.

UK readers can expect this one to drop on Blu-ray and DVD later this year on March 2, 2015. We’re still awaiting release details for the States, so hang in there.

It’s Jack’s 10th birthday, but the clown has cancelled. His dad, Kent, finds an old clown suit in the attic and saves the party. But after the party is over, Kent has a problem… the suit won’t come off. What starts as a joke quickly turns into a hellish nightmare. Kent can feel himself changing, and his desperate attempts to free himself just leave him in agonising pain. As the suit takes hold of his body, Kent slowly endures a brutal transformation. As he changes, an uncontrollable hunger begins to consume him, an overwhelming and insatiable hunger… for children.

Directed by John Watts, CLOWN stars Andy Powers, Peter Stormare, Laura Allen and Elizabeth Whitmere.
