I'm generally more optimistic about Paul Feig's upcoming GHOSTBUSTERS reboot than many people on the internet are, but here's an element of the movie that I would be unable to defend to any detractors.

The original film's iconic Ray Parker Jr. theme song has been re-imagined by the band Fall Out Boy and rapper Missy Elliott, the result being a song called "Ghostbusters (I'm Not Afraid") that was released online this morning through the Fall Out Boy Vevo YouTube channel.

The song is embedded below, and I really don't like it. But to be fair, chances were slim that I would like a Fall Out Boy / Missy Elliott collaboration to begin with. That's just not to my musical taste. As of right now, this is the one piece of Ghostbusters marketing I've seen receive an overwhelmingly positive reaction, with over 13,500 upvotes on YouTube against a little more than 1000 thumbs down. So don't take my word on its quality, give it a listen for yourself and see what you think.

Directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay he wrote with Katie Dippold, the new GHOSTBUSTERS stars Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Neil Casey, Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, Pat Kiernan, Cecily Strong, and Charles Dance, with cameos by Ozzy Osbourne and original GHOSTBUSTERS stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver. The film will be in theatres on July 15th.
