Vin Diesel announces last day of shooting on Riddick; Universal excited?!

Well folks we've been keeping you up-to-date with the latest RIDDICK film for as long as I can remember and now here we are to announce it's last day of shooting. Hard to believe isn't it? But alas that is indeed the case.

You see Vin Diesel himself took to his Facebook page to announce the last day of shooting on RIDDICK. He also took the time to thank the fans and express his excitement. Don't take my word for it though. Check out Diesel's post:

Tomorrow is the last day of principal photography... and you who have willed this rated "R" Riddick into being, will be proud.

Universal is so excited about what they have been seeing that they are now making me especially excited to see the finished film...

When is the release date Uni?... Our page wants to know.

P.s. Thanks for the positivity you bring... it makes it all worth it.

So there you have it folks! RIDDICK is all filmed and now ready for post-production. Natch!

Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.

Along with Diesel the highly anticipated RIDDICK sequel also stars Karl Urban, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Gerard Funk, Matthew Nable,Neil Napier, Conrad Pla and Jordi Molla. Coming from director David Twohy, RIDDICK is yet to score a release date but hopefully that comes soon.

Extra Tidbit: Before PITCH BLACK there was actually a TV movie Diesel did called THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: INTO PITCH BLACK.
