Interview: Alexander Skarsgård and Mia Goth talk Infinity Pool

Last Updated on February 8, 2023

The first time I witnessed Brandon Cronenberg’s work, I was stunned. Certainly, you could compare the filmmaker to his famous father. And yet, Brandon has added an incredible voice to his own features. From Antiviral to Possessor, he beautifully examines violence and character (read our review of the NC-17 cut here). Infinity Pool is yet another incredible work from the writer/director. Cronenberg’s latest is an eye-popping feature featuring excellent performances from Alexander Skarsgård, Mia Goth, Cleopatra Coleman, and Thomas Kretschmann. If you have the opportunity, try and check out this daring film as soon as possible. And if you can see it “uncut,” I highly recommend you do. It’s an insane shocker, folks.

We recently sat down with the two talented stars of the film, Alexander Skarsgård and Mia Goth. It’s always wonderful to speak with Mia, who should be getting more awards for her show-stopping work in Pearl. As for Mr. Skarsgård, it was also a joy to talk with him. The two discussed taking on the project, working with Brandon, and tackling such a beautifully eerie feature. Infinity Pool is a daring, thought-provoking, and sublimely grotesque feature that offers excellent performances and sequences that you may be shocked to see at your local cineplex. Check this one out immediately if you like smart and risky cinema.

Infinity Pool has the following synopsis: James and Em are enjoying an all-inclusive beach vacation when a fatal accident exposes the resort’s perverse subculture of hedonistic tourism, reckless violence, and surreal horrors.
