Interview: Simon Pegg Talks The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild

We here at JoBlo have long been a fan of Simon Pegg. Looking back at his career, it’s impossible to resist his work in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End. Yet there is so much more to his varied career including his scene-stealing performance in the Mission Impossible franchise, as well as a charmer like Man Up to his terrific take on Scotty in Star Trek saga. The actor is also familiar with animation including The Box Trolls, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and the Ice Age franchise. Speaking of Ice Age, Simon not only returns with the latest in the series but he steers the ship as Buck Wild.

Yes folks, if you love Simon Pegg, you’ll get a kick out of The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild. And recently, we had the pleasure of chatting with Mr. Pegg about returning to the Ice Age. He opened up about creating this particular character and working with the filmmakers behind this very popular animated franchise. And during our conversation, we discussed just how similar Buck Wild is to another iconic role that he took on in The Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy. Simon Pegg is one of the kindest fellows in Hollywood, and it’s always a pleasure chatting with him. And thankfully, with the upcoming release of his latest animated adventure, there’s a little bit of Simon’s work for the entire family.

The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild premieres this Friday on Disney+!
