Is a remake of The Craft in the works?

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

“How likely would you be to see a reboot of THE CRAFT in theater if it were released?”

That’s the query a survey posed Dread Central reader “Mikey” recently, according to the horror site. Mikey is apparently a member of a panel that is frequently asked various topics in order to gauge his interest in them; evidently, this was one of the most recent questions.

So, what does this mean? Doesn’t mean we’re definitely getting a CRAFT remake anytime soon, but at the same time it can’t be apropos of nothing. Somebody, somewhere, is thinking about rebooting THE CRAFT and they’re now finding out if there’s excitement to be had at the prospect.

THE CRAFT was released in 1996 (almost 20 f*cking years ago!) and starred Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Robin True as a quartet of high school witches who use their powers to take revenge on their tormenters. With bullying still as relevant as ever, it’s not a stretch to imagine the Andrew Fleming film being updated.

Why don’t YOU take the survey: would you be likely to see a remake of THE CRAFT if it came out in theaters?
