A trio of actors join Walter Hill and Sylvester Stallone’s untitled action film

This f*cking movie.

So first it was known as HEADSHOT, then it was referred to as BULLET TO THE HEAD after the comic from which it’s based in a press release issued last month, and now apparently the film is untitled according to Variety. Make up your minds!

Anyway, the trade is reporting that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (KILLER ELITE, G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA), Christian Slater (GUNS, GIRLS AND GAMBLING, TRUE ROMANCE), and Holt McCallany (THE LOSERS, FIGHT CLUB) are the latest to join Walter Hill’s return to action cinema (though truth be told, it’s sounding more and more like DTV-level trash at this point). Akinnuoye-Agbaje will play the film’s main villain, “a powerful attorney who’s trying to cover up his scam to exploit poor neighborhoods that have been ravaged by Hurricane Katrina.” Slater will play “a local handler who acts as a middleman” while McCallany will play “a dirty cop who’s partners with Kang.”

‘Kang’ is in reference to Sung Kang, the FAST FIVE actor who was last reported to have been cast in an undisclosed, supporting role. Well, now Variety is confirming that Kang will in fact be playing Sylvester Stallone’s “ethnic” sidekick, the part that was initially set up for Thomas Jane to play before Jane’s whiteness got him fired.

The untitled action-thriller – based on the graphic novel series Bullet to the Head about “a New Orleans hitman who teams with an NYPD detective, as they are brought together by two vicious murders” – also stars Jason Momoa (CONAN THE BARBARIAN, “Game of Thrones”) as a villain named ‘Keegan’, and the gorgeous Sarah Shahi (“Life”, “Fairly Legal”) who will play Sly’s daughter.
