EXCLUSIVE: Barry Pepper in Trigger Point – trailer is high on action

JoBlo is proud to present the exclusive world premiere trailer for the upcoming Canadian action-thriller, Trigger Point. Directed by Brad Turner and starring Barry Pepper, Trigger Point looks like the brand of action we really need right now.

Written by Michael Vickerman, Trigger Point follows Nicolas Shaw (Barry Pepper), a retired U.S. special operative who becomes part of an elite "invisible" team that quietly takes out the worst villains around the world. After being blamed for the assassination of fellow team members, Shaw must clear his name and prevent the killing of a new generation of noble operatives. The film also stars Colm Feore, Eve Harlow, and Carlo Rota.

Trigger Point actually finished its shoot in the midst of the pandemic. The film was slated to begin production in early 2020, but was put on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Principal photography resumed on October 26, 2020, and concluded after fifteen days of filming in Huron County and Bayfield, Ontario. Trigger Point became the first major motion picture to be shot in the Bayfield area.

If things go well with Trigger Point, director Brad Turner says this could be the first installment of a trilogy. While speaking with "Clinton News-Record", Turner said "It's possible it is a trilogy. It was written as a beginning of a series of movies and so far the concept is for two more, but it could easily go on for a few more depending on the success of it."
