Bo Peep returns and is ready for action in a new Toy Story 4 poster & video

The Bo is back, ladies and gentlemen, and this time, she's not flocking around!

A new video tease and minimalistic character poster For TOY STORY 4 featuring the character Bo Peep has arrived! You all remember Bo, don't you? She and Woody (Tom Hanks) shared something of a special connection throughout the first two installments of Pixar's beloved animated franchise, though she failed to make an appearance in 2010's TOY STORY 3. Now, after several years have passed, Bo is set to be reunited with Woody and the gang, and she's sporting a brand-new re-design that's meant to reflect her newfound strength, sass, and adventurous attitude. No longer will Bo be represented by her sun-bleached porcelain skin and frumpy frocks, y'all. This new version of the character is bound to give you some straight up Delores Abernathy of HBO's WESTWORLD vibes, and I am all about it.

In TOY STORY 4, Bo Peep and Woody are reunited under unlikely circumstances, but soon they realize they’ve grown worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy. Will they be able to rekindle the flame that causes Woody's nethers to "reach for the sky," or has time apart truly poisoned the waterhole for these two characters who've always thirsty for one another?

According to TOY STORY 4's director, Josh Cooley, “Bo’s taken control of her own destiny.” He also says that “While Woody was watching Andy grow up, Bo gathered dust until she took it upon herself to head out into the world. And when Woody shows up, they can’t believe that they’ve found each other again.”

As a way of shedding even more light on the sheep herder's new lease on life, Annie Potts, who provides the voice for Bo Peep, said in a statement, “She is modern, independent, capable and confident.” Potts then added, “Bo is written and conceived to be inspiring as she has weathered life’s ups and downs with grace. I aspire to that.”

Here's the official synopsis for TOY STORY 4:

Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.

In addition to debuting a short video tease for Bo's return to the big screen, the studio also dropped a new character poster, which you can see for yourself below:
